Join the European Banking Federation & Deloitte joint event and discover the key findings of our new report on the role of Chief Sustainability Officers (CSO) as a business leader, change agent, connector, and ambassador of organisations’ culture. During this webinar, we will discuss the skills needed for this versatile role and explore the emerging trends, key challenges, and expected developments.
The event marks the launch of the joint EBF & Deloitte report that is based on the survey of 28 CSOs gathering around the EBF CSO Roundtbale, which is a forum that brings together sustainability leaders from more than 30 banks from different geographies, business models and sizes.
The survey was complemented with a series of interviews and desk research conducted by Deloitte. The main objective of the report was to contribute to the understanding of how CSO roles could contribute to the implementation and acceleration of sustainability in banks and ultimately understand whether the presence of a CSO determines or accelerates the success of achieving banks’ sustainability objectives.
The objective of the panel is to further elaborate some of the interesting findings of the report in an informal way in discussion with two senior sustainability leaders, bringing an insider perspective and personal experience within the CSO role. We will also explore the role of CSO as a moderator, focusing on the dialogue with the stakeholders which was identified in the report as one of the key challenges with room for improvement. We will particularly try to look at how is this dialogue evolving, what is the impact of such dialogue, explore best practices and recommendations. We would also try to understand whether collective engagement at sector level would benefit individual engagements.
